Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept

Ready for a break

At the Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru introduces the concept of compact wagon, called Advanced Tourer.
Advanced Tourer concept is not a fan of Futurism: This compact wagon seems to be transformed easily into production model. But it also announces the modernization of lifts of the brand.
The four passengers were accommodated on seats that seem to float.
In its first two generations, the Impreza five-door station wagon resembled a fury. A choice that was not renewed for the following two drafts, much more traditional line. The return of Subaru in the compact segment of movers is not excluded, as evidenced by the Advanced Tourer concept, presented at the next Tokyo Motor Show. With 4.58 m long, this study is similar in effect break the format of the Ford Focus SW, Renault Mégane and Peugeot 308 SW Estate. In addition, the line is generally realistic, with a look that evokes the BRZ and cut a sporty profile, without excess.
As the front face, the stern has some similarities with the coupe BRZ.
Even if the Japanese firm did not confirm, but seems ready for commercialization. However, it is mostly technically this Advanced Tourer Concept seems to have a promising future. Indeed he inaugurated a four-cylinder boxer "only" 1600 cm3, a reduction in displacement offset by a turbo and the shift to direct injection. Here, this innovative movement is also associated with an electric motor powered by lithium-ion batteries capable of operating only for short distances. Which does not remain true to Subaru all-wheel drive, a feature dear to the brand.
