Preview: Citroen DS3 Cabrio


in 2013 seems to be a peak year for all fans will be convertible. It's obviously not the current weather that makes me so euphoric, no, they are the convertibles coming soon to the market. 

Besides the new Opel Convertible Cascada, the beginning of the week I could see up close (and that looks mighty good!), Now runs the Citroen DS3 Cabrio before the dealer.

The two drove the 156 hp DS3 THP 155 and were quite impressed - even if that is not a true-to DS3 Cabrio convertible and fits more into the category of "open at the top" lifestyle small cars. After all, the soft top can while driving up to a speed of 120 km / h . And in just 16 seconds.

Introduction Citroen C4 Aircross


Parallel to the AMI in Leipzig will be new Citroen C4 Aircross SUV on 02.06.2012 in the market. The Citroen C4 Aircross builds on the technology of the Mitsubishi ASX on - after all, come and design of small diesel with 115 hp from a French pen.


When Citroen C4 Aircross tried with success, the symbiosis of the design of an SUV with a sedan. At the front is on the wide grille that sets the angle of the double mark in the limelight. The Citroen C4 Aircross is available with either a variable all-wheel drive. This enables optimal torque distribution between the front and rear wheels. The system is compact and lightweight and will also reduce the use of an oil with low viscosity in the transfer case fuel consumption. The propulsion system "à la carte", the driver, depending on the driving situation manually select one of three driving modes 4WD, 2WD and lock means of a knob behind the gearshift. The mode "Lock" provides maximum traction by 50 percent of the torque is transmitted to the rear wheels. The two-wheel mode (2WD) minimizes fuel consumption by only the front wheels are driven.


The HDi engine 115 is offered in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission, both in a 2WD version and four-wheel drive. This engine with a displacement of 1.6 liters delivers an output of 115 hp. The maximum torque of 270 Nm (up to 280 Nm with the "overboost") is from 1750 rev / min available. The C4 is Aircross from launch with the HDi 150 diesel engine available. The 1.6i petrol engine 115 is offered as a 2WD version with a five-speed manual transmission. The engine with a displacement of 1.6 liters equipped with two front camshafts, 16 valves and a system for continuously variable control. It combines an output of 115 horsepower with emissions of 135 grams of CO2 per kilometer.




During the trip were the two diesel units, both as a pleasing elasticity. The big diesel also allows acceleration at low engine speed range. This is a small diesel noticeably heavier, but its elasticity is in the acceptable range.


The C4 Aircross is equipped with Stop & Start. In addition, an electronically controlled generator is for energy recovery during braking and deceleration and the electronic power steering that only uses energy when the steering wheel is moved.


With compact size, the Aircross a very spacious interior, where four adults can survive longer rides comfortably. With its five seats and a boot capacity of 442 liters, it also fulfills an important everyday needs. Its rear seat is split and provided with a through-loading feature. When additional cargo space is needed, the rear seats are folded down easily.


The Citroen C4 offers Aircross his driver a higher seating position and thus a very good all round visibility. The driving position is ergonomically positioned, the instruments are easy to use. The driver has a height and length adjustable leather steering wheel, the audio features, the speed controller and the headset can be used directly.


Optionally, the C4 Aircross be equipped with a panoramic glass roof with UV protection and an electric sun blind with sequential control, which creates a comfortable level in the interior. In bright sunlight, it is always advisable to use the shading, otherwise there is the air conditioning to their limits. At night give dimmable, amber integrated into the headliner LED lights to the panoramic glass roof, a pleasant atmosphere.


The Citroen C4 Aircross features an optional GPS navigation system, equipped with a 7-inch touch screen and hard drive. A rear view camera that is connected with the navigation system facilitates the maneuvering and parking.


To ensure the safety of seven airbags: driver and a passenger airbag deactivating one, two side airbags, dual front and rear head curtain airbags and a knee airbag for the driver.


It all starts at 23 690 euros for a small 1.6-liter gasoline engine.

New MPV Car,Citroen C3 Picasso


Here is a compact MPV version from Citroen called as C2 Picasso. The exterior of this elegance car is defined by bold character. The interior is designed for giving coziness to the passenger by presenting high – set seating. The improved visibility on this C2 Picasso is achieved by modular design. The widescreen in 3 parts is presented to give side angle sight to the passenger. This MPV from Citroen will adopt some engine version such as the VTi 95 and VTi 120 (gasoline) plus the HDi 90 and HDi 110 DPFS (diesel). At 2009 this MPV C3 Picasso has made its first sale.

Design Concept of Citroën C-SportLounge


Citroën C-SportLounge looks so alive with vivid yellow color on its exterior. This sport car concept was unveiled at 2005 in Frankfurt Motor Show. This car variant is a symbol of Citroën grand touring car. 2011 Citroën DS5 has adopted some design character of this Citroën C-SportLounge Concept such as clear-cut and elongated headlight as well as tail light, elongated roofline and also silhouette. The car interior in retro – futuristic style and clean exterior surface also the rear – hinged back door interprets the unusual character of C-SportLounge concept car.

The new C-SportLounge concept car, which stands out with its evocative name and distinctive body style, features powerful, aerodynamic exterior lines and a cockpit-inspired interior designed for the pleasure of the driver and the well-being of the three passengers. The C-SportLounge combines dynamic character with high levels of onboard quality.
The wide tracks and curved flanks of the C-SportLounge convey a sense of power, while the flowing lines and elongated roof optimise aerodynamics, a Citroën speciality. Special care was taken with the air flow, resulting in a drag coefficient of just 0.26.

The determined look of the front end is emphasised by the broadened air intake and elongated, clearcut headlamps.
The large windscreen placed well to the front rises high and melds into the sunroof in a single unbroken line, offering a broad glass surface, enhancing visibility and letting in maximum light.
The luxurious interior of the C-SportLounge, designed to seat four adults comfortably, expresses the grand touring spirit of this concept car.
The on-board ambience is a harmonious mix of noble, dense, worked materials and more mechanical styling for the driving position.
With reverse-opening doors at the rear, the C-SportLounge offers unexpected accessibility for a vehicle of this type. Long-distance journeys can be approached serenely thanks to more than generous boot space.
The driving position was inspired by aviation design and dictated by driving pleasure. Driver and passengers alike will feel like they are in an aeroplane cockpit.
This impression is heightened by the special treatment and location of the analogue instruments. The semi-raised driving position boosts driving sensations while enhancing comfort and safety.
The driver’s seat and central console are all of one piece, so that the automatic gearbox and climate controls remain within reach, regardless of the driver’s chosen seat length adjustment. The interior has been designed to let the driver concentrate on the road: the steering wheel has fixed central controls and gear-changing paddles.

Citroën C4 2nd generation

The 2nd generation of Citroën C4 variant has been released. On this new C4 version, the sculpted exterior has been combined with eco friendly features. This C$ variant had made its debut at Paris Motor Show which was held in 2010, and in this year, this new minivan version will be ready on the market. This minivan variant is presented in 4.33 m long, 1.79 m wide and 1.49 m high, so that compared with its predecessor, this new car version is bigger, precisely 5 cm longer, 2 cm wider and 3 cm taller. At 4.33m long, 1.79m wide and 1.49m high, the New C4 is 5cm longer, 2cm wider and 3cm taller than the current model. Defined and flowing surfaces, such as the purposeful front end and rear spoiler, hint at the model’s optimised aerodynamics.

The new driver-oriented cabin features an improved acoustic comfort and soundproofing.  The 408-liter luggage compartment is the biggest in its class, with square dimensions and a lower sill for esy loading operations. The interface can be customized to suit individual requirements with users able to adjust the colour of the instrument display, select their own ‘polyphonic’ sound alerts.

At launch the range of availalable engines will include three gasoline units – 4 cylinders and power outputs from 92 and 15 hp – and three diesel units – two 1.6 HDi and the 2.0 liter HDi, with power outputs ranging from 90 and 150 hp.
Newly introduced features include a new blind-spot monitoring system, a cornering light function, cruise control and speed-limiter with road speed memory settings, and an innovative new service called eTouch.
Among the other electronic controls and functions are the EGS (Electronic Gearbox System), hill start assist, automatic electric parking brake, Lane Departure Warning System and Xenon dual-function directional headlamps,
As well as offering on-board emergency assistance, Citroën’s eTouch system enables drivers to monitor their driving patterns and fuel consumption, and receive advice on how to improve their fuel economy.
The system also allows drivers to consult their vehicle’s technical status and monitor any necessary maintenance or servicing requirements.
The New C4 will be available with the new micro-hybrid e-HDi powertrains, which feature a Stop & Start system that helps deliver CO2 emissions as low as 109g/km at launch – and 99g/km on future models.
Michelin Energy™ Saver tyres are also specified to help achieve these low emissions and to boost fuel economy.
The control of the car’s overall weight – in spite of the increased dimensions and added equipment – has been achieved using new technologies, such as laser welding, in the model’s construction.
The use of 15% ‘green’ materials – for example, re-cycled polyamide components – also enhances New C4’s environmental credentials.
The New C4 will be presented at the Paris Motor Show in September and will be launched early in 2011.
